About Wearnotes — est. 2024

We started Wearnotes because the best-dressed people we knew were never in the front row.

The Wearnotes studio in Shoreditch

Wearnotes is an independent fashion magazine published from London. We cover street style, runway, trends and shopping with the same rule for all four: show the clothes on real people, in real light, at the price they actually cost.

We are four full-time editors and a rotating bench of photographers in eighteen cities. We take no payment for coverage, we label every affiliate link, and we send back the samples.

What we do

01 — Shoot

Street style, weekly

Photographers in eighteen cities send us what they see. No styling, no borrowed samples, no permission from a brand.

02 — Report

Runway, without the reverence

We go backstage, count the exits that mattered, and say plainly when a collection does not work.

03 — Test

The Edit, worn first

Everything in a shopping guide has been worn for at least two weeks by someone on staff. Prices are checked the day we publish.

Runway, tailoring, and arguments about hemlines. Dara founded Wearnotes in 2024 after eleven years on the show circuit and still files from the third row.

Nia Okonjo

Nia Okonjo

Lex Amari

Lex Amari

Commerce editor

Tests everything and returns most of it. Lex writes The Edit, checks every price on the morning of publication and has strong opinions about seams.

Joon Park

Joon Park

Culture editor

Music, subculture, and where clothes come from. Joon covers the record shops, club nights and archives that decide a trend two years early.

Ines Marchetti

Ines Marchetti

Contributing stylist

Stylist and trend reporter based between Milan and Copenhagen. Ines reads the mills and the buying offices before the rest of us read the runway.
